As an outsider (no Jewish or Palestinian heritage/background) it's very hard to "pick" a side, if there is such a thing. Obviously, no war and no mass genocide is the ideal situation, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

I did have one question, perhaps I could google it but sometimes people are able to synthesize complex situations better than a google search.

Where do jews come from? like geographically? they felt compelled to settle in a place they believed was theirs, but did they not have a place to begin with? I've always been confused with what a "jew" is since they are all over the world, but they don't immigrate from a specific location.
